Bailey is one week old!

Things have been going really well. Bailey is a well behaved little princess (hopefully she stays that way). She sleeps almost all of the way through the night and the doctor said we don't have to wake her up to feed her anymore because she is gaining weight and was almost back up to her birth weight by Monday. (babies all naturally loose some weight before they leave the hospital). Feeding is going very well again I've been lucky and I'll keep my fingers crossed.


Today we had to go to the clinic and get a test repeated that they did in the hospital. Apparently they did not take enough blood from her heel the first time so we had to go have it redrawn today. Which consisted of me holding my daughter while they made blood pool in her foot and then they poked her with a thick needle and made her foot bleed onto these dots on a card. Well she screamed and who could blame her because it looked incredibly painful.

And mommy and daddy had to be mean again tonight and give her another sponge bath which she hates. The poor little thing has had a hard day for only being a week old.
