1 pound (2-1/4 cups) brown sugar
dash salt
1 cup light corn syrup
1 can sweetenend condensed milk (15 oz)
1 tsp vanilla
Melt butter in heavy 3 quart saucepan. Add brown sugar and salt; stir till thoroughly combined. Stir in light corn syrup; mix well. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Cook and stir over medium heat till candy reaches firm-ball stage (245 degrees), about 12-15 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour into buttered 9x9x2-inch pan. Cool and cut into squares. Makes about 2-1/2 pounds.
Ben's mom gave me this recipe and they are super scrumptious and really not that hard. Its a good holiday recipe.
